If wind turbines keep sprouting up in the countryside, will people in rural areas start moving to the city to escape the noise?

Perhaps it is not as crazy as it seems. Last week, Freakonomics asked the question, “Would electric cars increase property values on noisy streets?” In a similar vein, Scientific American wonders whether hybrid cars can be too quiet.

As we adapt to new technologies such as hybrid and electric cars, our cities could very well become quieter. Just keep those wind turbines out of the city.
